A PRIVATE EVENT assumes that you are "buying out" either a section or the entirety of our space; namely our lounge area, or our patio. For Partial Buyouts, you’ll have private access to the selected section for your party, however the interior bar stays open to the general public (partial buyouts are still very quaint and exclusive).

RESERVATIONS work essentially like any reservation you would book at a restaurant, bar, or nightclub that accepts reservations. Like most reservations, there is no upfront cost, or minimum associated with your reservation.

Partial buyouts are associated to a minimum spend, because unlike a reservation, partially buying something out means that no one from outside of your party will be allowed into the area that you have selected. However what makes Block Party different from other venues is there are no hidden fees, or roll ups. 100% of your quoted buyout cost goes towards your beverage minimum. There are many factors that come into play when quoting a price for a partial, or full buyout, including seasonality. For that reason we do not offer partial, or full buyout quotes here.

A full buyout assumes that you are "buying out" the entirety of our space. Full buyouts are associated to a minimum spend, because unlike a reservation, or even a partial buyout, a full buyout of Block Party means that absolutely no one from outside of your party will be allowed into our space for the duration of the day/night that you have booked with us. This offers complete exclusivity. Buyouts mean you get private use of the entire space, full staff, security, and control of the visuals and music. Catering, simple decorations and photo booths are welcome (please inquire for more detail). What makes full buyouts of Block Party different from other venues is there are no hidden fees, or roll ups. 100% of your quoted buyout cost goes towards your beverage minimum. PATIO - LOUNGE - BAR

You may request a specific area for your private event. For example you may have a preference for our back patio, our lounge, or our main bar area. In the event that Block Party Highland Park cannot satisfy your specific request, we reserve the right to place your reservation in an area where we have the room to accomodate you and your party. Our ultimate goal is to make sure you have a great experience while you are here with us and we plan to do everything we can to ensure we exceed your expectations.

If you are celebrating a special occasion, you may bring in simple decorations. However, we request that no decorations create any holes, or permanent marks on our walls or furniture. We also request that you specifically do not use Scotch Tape, or confetti. Absolutely nothing may be hung on the walls, regardless of materials being used to hang up your decorations. We appreciate your attention and acceptance to these guidelines.

While operating to the general public, Block Party Highland Park is a 21+ ONLY establishment. This is not a point of discussion, as it is not up to us. This restriction is based on our specific ABC license and is California law.
